1 demised, 40 Wounded, Many Are Feared To Be Trapped In Karnataka

Mumbai: Near Kumareshwar Nagar in Karnataka of Dharwad district an under construction building collapsed.

1 person has died whereas 40 are to be afraid to be trapped. 15 people are been injured until now.

Hospitals are kept on alert and around 20 ambulances are sent on the spot.

From the video of the collapse, hundreds of people are seen being surrounded within the building.

The first two floors have shops in which nearly more than 150 people were working. Work of construction was going on the 3rd floor.

Chief Minister of Karnataka H.D. Kumaraswamy tweeted saying, “Shocked to learn about the collapse of an under-construction building in Dharwad. I have instructed the Chief Secretary to supervise rescue operations. I have also directed the CS to send additional resources and expert rescuers by a special flight to #Dharwad.”

He further tweeted saying, “The rescue operation is on and five people have been extricated, so far, from the debris. I have instructed the concerned officials to be on location.”

Many more people are to be feared to close in the debris. Search and operation to rescue people are going on currently.
