10.87 Per Cent Polling Till 9 am In PM’s Constituency

Mumbai: Around 10.87 per cent voters cast their vote at Varanasi in morning 9 am.

Varanasi constituency has, 18.54 lakh voters to cast their votes in 1,819 polling booths out of whom 273 have been classified as ‘important’.

The local administration has installed 145 model booths and a pink booth which will be operated by women only.

Officials have appealed to people to come in a large number to vote in Varanasi, who had reported 58.35 per cent voting in 2014.

Modi’s main challenge is Ajay Rai of Congress and SP-BSP candidate Shalini Yadav.

Last time, Modi had polled 56.37 per cent of total polluted votes and 25.85 votes in his favour from 2009, when Murli Manohar Joshi got 30.5 per cent votes for the BJP.
