Pune : Still hoping justice for herself, Tanushree Dutta is set to move to New Jersey after several #Metoo confrontations.

In September, 2018, after being out of Bollywood spotlight for many years, Dutta gave an interview to Zoom TV in which he accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the set of the 2009 movie Horn ‘OK’ PlaceSS. This announcement will be seen in India as the catalyst of the “Me To” movement, which happened with Harvey Weinstein in America a year ago, in which more and more women in the entertainment industry will publicly declare high profile individuals who have Sexual abuse had them.

Tanushree Dutta in an interview to Mid-Day shared her plans of moving back to New Jersey. After starting #Metoo which turned into a revolution in the whole country, she stated, “My future lies there. I will head out early next year. When I came down to Mumbai, I thought I would go back after a month, but it’s been five months.”

The movement took a real big form which roped many singers, artists, directors, etc. In the limelight of harassment and molestation. Dutta also further talked on this, “I do not look at it as now hot, now cold. Such things are a revolution. What matters is its impact in the future. It has created an atmosphere where sexual predators are aware that they cannot get away with misbehaviour. It came as a surprise when women began calling out the sexual predators. I am aware that #MeToo cannot be front page news every day.”

However, the actress says she’s hopes for a definite justice for what’s she has gone through, “I have been living with it for a decade without redressal. The legal process is not dependent on me being around. If I have to be around to push the case, what is the point of the legal system and law enforcers?”

In 2003, Dutta won the Femina Miss India pageant in Mumbai; As a result, he represented India in Miss Universe 2004 Pageant, which happened in Quito, Ecuador, where he was kept as an eight runner-up.
