Mumbai: It was do or die Match for Rajasthan Royals but they failed to to set huge total against inform IPL team CSK. With the loss of 7 wickets RR scored 151 runs.
It was good opening by both openers Buttler and Rahane but it was Deepak Chahar who broked the partnership.
Rahane lost his wicket scoring 14 runs, meantime Jos Buttler lost his wicket at 3.4 over scored 23 runs.
Middle order didn’t contributed well as RR lost their wickets on a regular basis Samson scored just 6 runs whereas Ben Stokes scored 28 runs. With the help of Shreyas Gopal RR reached 145 + runs as he scored 19 runs of 7 balls with the strike rate of 250+.
For CSK Deepak Chahar took 2 wickets, following Ravindra Jadeja provided 2 wickets for his team.
Chasing the target of 151, it was poor start for CSK as they lost their top 3 batsman in Powerplay itself. It was slow start for CSK.
Watson lost his wicket at duck, Faf du Plessis scored 7 runs whereas Suresh Raina got run out by Archer.
Meanwhile it was good partnership between MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu, as he scored 57 runs of 47 balls it was well needed innings but Rayudu failed to make through it lost his wicket to Ben Stokes.
MS Dhoni stood till last but lost his wicket to Ben Stokes in last over scored 58 of 43 balls, it was full of excitement in last over as CSK needed 3 runs of 1 ball and it was Michelle Santner who hit winning runs for his team and CSK won it’s 6 game of the season.
