11,903 COVID-19 Cases, 14,159 Recoveries Reported In India In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 11,903 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, there have been reports of 14,159 people recovering in the country.

With the fresh cases, the country’s total caseload now stands at 3,43,08,140, ​​while the active caseload stands at 1,51,209.

The death toll has climbed to 4,59,191 with 311 daily fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

The daily increase in new coronavirus infections has been below 20,000 for 26 straight days and there have been fewer than 50,000 daily new cases for 129 consecutive days.

The number of active cases has come down to 1,51,209, comprising 0.44 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.22 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

The number of active COVID-19 cases has registered a decline of 2,567 cases in a span of 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.11 per cent. It is less than 2 per cent in the last 30 days. The weekly positivity rate was also recorded at 1.18 per cent. According to the Ministry of Health, it has been below 2 percent for the last 40 days.

The number of people cured of the disease rose to 3,36,97,740, while the death rate was recorded at 1.34 per cent.

The cumulative dose administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 107.29 crores.
