1,273 Maharashtra Police Personnel Tested Positive For COVID19

Mumbai: While being on frontline duty, 1273 Maharashtra Police personnel have been tested positive for COVID19 and 11 have succumbed to the infection, news agency ANI reported.

Out of 1273 infected, 291 cops have fully recovered from COVID19. 131 Officers of higher rank have also been infected by the virus, said the department.

Maharashtra is being worst hit state by the coronavirus in India. Majority of the cases are from Mumbai city.

With over 20000 cases, Mumbai is one of the major hotspots in the Country.
