16-Year-Old Girl Sedated, Gang-Raped By 4 Of Her Friends In Indore

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly sedated and gang-raped by four of her friends in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, police said.

The victim was later restrained and allegedly threatened by two men when she was going to file a complaint against the accused.

According to the police, the victim’s friend and the four accused living in her neighbourhood took her to the Choral area on the pretext of hanging out, after which they sedated the victim into gang rape.

Police said that the victim has identified four accused of gang rape as Sameer, Asif, Bittu and Hasnain.

Police said that a case of gang rape was registered against the four accused at the Sadar Bazar police station in Indore on Sunday. At the same time, two accused named Rehan belonging to a political party and his partner Junaid, who prevented the victim from going to the police station, have also been booked.

“A minor girl aged 16 living under the Sadar Bazar police station limits who was friends with four accused had gone out with them yesterday. They took her to the Choral area where she was sedated and then gang-raped by them. A case of gang rape has been filed and a search is on to nab the four accused persons,” Jayant Rathore, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Sadar Bazar police station, told the reporters.

“Apart from the four, two others are accused of stopping and threatening the victim when she was going to the police station to lodge a complaint. We have also registered a case against them and we will take strict action against all the accused persons.”
