17-Yr-Old Girl Dies By Suicide In TN, Leaves Behind Note Alleging Sexual Harassment
Mumbai: A 17-year-old girl died by suicide at her home in Tamil Nadu’s Karur on Friday, leaving behind a note alleging that she was being sexually harassed, police said.
A student of a private school in Karur has taken such a big step when no one was present in her house.
According to a report by ABP Nadu, when the girl returned from school on Friday, it was found that her parents were not at home. He soon wrote a suicide note and committed suicide.
In the suicide note, the girl said, “I am afraid to name the person who has made my extreme decision. I wanted to stay on this earth but I am deciding to leave.”
She said, from now on no other woman should die like me.
Vengamedu police have registered a case and started an investigation. They also sent the body to Karur Government Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
The police are currently questioning the family, teachers and principal of the school to find out the person abetting the suicide of the student.
