19 Deaths, 605 New COVID19 Virus Cases In UP; Total Count 18,322

Mumbai: A senior government official said that more than nineteen people died in Uttar Pradesh on Monday as 605 new cases led to the state’s infection reaching 18,322.

So far 569 people have died due to infection in the state.

Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) of correspondents Amit Mohan Prasad said that they will soon start antigen tests in Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, and Delhi NCR area to investigate the cases of the virus.

Regarding the new cases, he said, 605 fresh COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state, while 569 coronavirus patients have died so far. The number of active cases in the state is 6,152. “

The official said, so far, 11,601 people have recovered from the disease, which is 63.31 out of the total COVID-19 cases in the state.

He said that a random sample of residents living in old age homes, teenage homes, urban slums, vendors and delivery buoys have been targeted.

Prasad said COVID helpdesks have been established in most primary and community health centres in the state.
