Priyanka Chopra Jonas To Star In The White Tiger Adaption

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be seen as a lead in the adaption of novel The White Tiger which is set up at Netflix. The movie will be directed by ‘Fahrenheit 451’ director Ramin Bahrani and will also be starred by Rajkumar Rao.

“I’m so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani a Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga’s poignant story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative.

“The story’s portrayal of raw ambition and the extent to which one will go to achieve one’s goal is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall and also working along with Rajkumar for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is put together,” Priyanka said. It is also said that the actress will be executive producer of the movie.

The Man Booker-winning novel was written by Aravind Adiga, the White Tiger follows a story of a self-made man from tea shop worker in a village to successful entrepreneur in a big city. Murder, love and deceit are the ultimate prices for ambition.

It is reported that Rajkumar Rao will be starring alongside Priyanka Chopra and newcomer Adarsh Gourav will be also in the feature. The shooting of the movie will begin in October in India. The director Ramin Bahrani had recently directed Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon in HBO’s Fahrenheit 451. He will direct the movie from a script he wrote.

Priyanka Chopra-Jonas will also be seen in the Robert Rodriguez feature ‘We Can Be Heroes’. The actress is also set to produce and act in the untitled wedding-comedy, co-produced by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal. The movie will be set in India.
