2 NDRF, 1 SDRF Rescued People From Debris Of Under Construction Collapsed Building

Mumbai: On Tuesday an under construction building was collapsed near Kumareshwar Nagar in Karnataka of Dharwad district following which Indian Air Force (IAF) up-lifted two teams of national disaster response force (NDRF) to undergo the operation to rescue people from the debris.

Aircraft C 130 J Super Hercules was strategised to carry the operation.

The official account of Indian Air Force tweeted saying, “One C-130J aircraft of Indian Air Force airlifted two teams of NDRF from Hindan to Hubli on the night of 19 Mar 19. The NDRF team was airlifted to undertake rescue operations after an under-construction building collapsed at Dharward, Hubli, Karnataka.”

Earlier there were reports that around 5 are dead 40 wounded while more than 150 people are been fear to be Trapped in the debris.

The first two floors have shops in which nearly more than 150 people were working. Work of construction was going on the 3rd floor.

RV Deshpande Karnataka revenue minister said that there will be an enquiry on this accident and all the wounded people will be operated at free of cost.

Around 37 are rescued with the help of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and NDRF.

Many are yet to be rescued as there is a fear that more people would be inside the debris.

Deshpande said, ‘3 people have lost their lives. This is a heartbreaking incident. People who are injured will be treated at no cost. 1 SDRF and 2 NDRF team are working to help and operate the disaster’.

Whereas CM HD Kumaraswamy had said local of Bharwad to not get panic. He said rescue measure is been taken up.
