21-Yr-Old Construction Worker Rapes 15-Yr-Old Girl In Hyd, Arrested

Mumbai: A 21-year-old construction worker was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Hyderabad’s Vanasthalipuram.

According to the police, the accused lived in the same neighbourhood where the girl lived with her parents, who also worked at the same construction site.

Police said that when her parents were away, the suspect forcibly took the minor girl to his home where he sexually assaulted her. Fear at first prevented the child from telling his parents, but eventually, he trusted his mother.

She was taken to a government hospital for a checkup and the Vanasthalipuram police started an investigation based on her mother’s complaint.

Police said the accused was arrested under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012).

On July 10, a Station House Officer (SHO) in Hyderabad was booked and suspended from service for allegedly raping the wife of an accused arrested by him.
