Mumbai: I a shocking incident, the 55-year-old doctor allegedly raped the 21-year-old model and actor.
The police said, “When she was working in a serial, she came in contact. We have registered FIR under several IPC sections. He has been remanded to police custody till 10th May. The investigation is in progress.”
“During the investigation, we found that some money was transferred by the doctor to the woman’s account. The complainant said that the doctor took some photographs of him on one occasion, finally using it to blackmail him,” an official said daily told.
According to the police, the accused raped the woman and if she ever considered contacting the police, she used photographs to blackmail her. A complaint was lodged last week, after which the police arrested the doctor from Chembur.
The officials added saying that further investigation is under process where they have interrogated the doctor and they will also be gathering technical evidence to file a watertight charge-sheet in the case,” the officer said.
