216 Districts Has No COVID Positive Cases; Recovery Rate Now At 29.36%: Health Ministry

Mumbai: Lav Agarwal joint secretary of Health Ministry while addressing a press conference said that in the last 24 hours, there were 3390 new COVID19 positive cases and 1273 recoveries. Till now, 16,540 patients have been cured and 37,916 patients are under active Medical supervision and the recovery rate is now at 29.36%.

He also acknowledged that in 216 districts there have been no positive cases of COVID-19, these 216 districts are corona free. And in 42 districts no new cases have been detected in the last 28 days.

Similarly, in 28 districts, there have been no new cases since the last 21 days. In 36 no cases detected in the last 14 days. And in 46 districts no new cases have been detected in the last one week.

Almost 60% of COVID-19 cases are from 8 cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. Currently the country in under lockdown till May 17.
