22-Year-Old Woman In Hyderabad Molested & Rs. 2500 Extorted

Mumbai: A 22-year-old woman was molested and Rs. 2500 was extorted from her by the accused at KBR Park in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. Coincidentally, On November 14, Tollywood actress Shalu Chourasiya was assaulted in the same place and her phone was also snatched.
In her complaint, she stated that she used to go to the park regularly for evening walks, but after she was assaulted. As reported by the Times of India, she was assaulted on the evening of November 2 near a news channel building of Jubilee Hills on Road 92.
According to the complaint, a person came from behind and dragged her into the bushes by holding her waist. The accused molested her and asked for sexual favours if she does not give money to the accused, police said.
The woman gave the accused Rs.2500 cash which she had with her and started screaming for help. According to the Banjara Hills police, the accused threatened to kill her while she somehow escaped by pushing the man aside.
She lodged a complaint after she returned from Andhra Pradesh. She had moved out of the city as the accused had threatened the woman.
Police are suspecting the same person to be the accused who had attacked Tollywood actress Shalu Chourasiya. Police have arrested suspect K Babu aged 21 for the attack on the actress.
Babu, who is already in custody has committed more such offences according to the Banjara Police. He has also confessed to committing a similar offence in January 2021 at KBR Park, police said.
