Mumbai: In another shocking incident, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men who invited her to a party on November 8 at a hotel on Andheri-Kurla Road in Mumbai.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the victim said that she and two other women were invited to the party and she was sexually assaulted by the three accused when everybody else left. The accused are said to be on a run.
The accused have been identified as Avinash Pangekar (28), Shishir (27), and Tejas (25). Last week, Pangekar, a resident of central Mumbai, attended her engagement party and invited the victim to the hotel.
The victim alleged that Pangekar forced her to drink alcohol at the party. When the other two women left for the night, the men stayed behind and gang-raped her. The three accused are absconding.
The victim did not reveal anything about her days and finally narrated the incident to her family on Saturday. He was then taken to a nearby police station to lodge a complaint.
