221 New COVID-19 Cases, 2 Deaths In Telangana

Mumbai: The COVID-19 caseload of Telangana damaged the previous 2.93 lakhs with 221 fresh additions and two related fatal incidents.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most cases with 36, followed by Karimnagar and Medchal Malkajgiri on 17 and 16 respectively, with a government bulletin providing details on Saturday, January 22 at 8 pm.

The total number of cases was 2, 93,056, while recoveries stood at 2,9999.

On Friday, 3,569 patients are undergoing treatment and 30,005 samples were tested.

Cumulatively, more than 76.32 lakh samples have been tested. The Bulletin stated that the samples tested per million population were over 2.05 lakhs.

The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 per cent, while at the national level it was 1.4 per cent.

The recovery rate in Telangana was 98.24 per cent, while it was 96.8 per cent in the country.
