25 New COVID19 Cases Reported In Dharavi, Tally Reaches To 1,830

Mumbai: With 25 new COVID-19 cases reported in Asia’s most popular slum area – Dharavi on Tuesday, the total number of positive cases in the region has reached 1,830.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said, “25 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Mumbai’s Dharavi area today. The number of positive cases in the area has increased to 1,830.”

As of Tuesday, 71 deaths were recorded in Dharavi, BMC added.

According to the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra has confirmed 70,013 COVID-19 positive cases, of which 37,543 cases are active.

According to India’s Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 8,171 more COVID-19 cases and 204 deaths in the last 24 hours on Tuesday, as the country’s virus count is close to two lakh.

The total number of cases in the country now stands at 1,98,706, including 97,581 active cases, 95,527 cured / discharged / displaced and 5,598 deaths.
