32-Yr-Old MP Man Learns To Make Bomb From Internet, Kills Wife’s Rapist; Arrested

Mumbai: A 32-year-old man was arrested for killing a person with explosives as part of a plot to avenge the alleged gang rape of his wife in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam, police said. Also Read: Man Films Sister-In-Law Bathing, Blackmails & Rapes Her In Pune

Ratlam Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tiwari said, “Lal Singh was killed on January 4 in an explosion near a tubewell on agricultural land. Forensic science experts said the blast was caused by a gelatin stick and detonator. . In the investigation, it was found that a similar kind of explosion took place in August at the tube well of former sarpanch Bhanwar Lal, but he sustained minor injuries in the incident.” Also Read: Man Arrested For Abducting, Raping Minor In J&K’s Reasi

“Police found a family missing from the village after the incident (explosion in which Lal Singh was killed). The police detained the man and his family members from Mandsaur on January 7. During interrogation, the man confessed to his crime and also revealed that he was taking revenge for the gang rape of his wife,” he added.

In the statement recorded with the police, the accused said, “In July this year, Lal Singh, Bhavarlal and Dinesh entered his house and raped his wife. He tried to stop them but they beat him up. Later, the accused threatened him with dire consequences. The man didn’t report the matter to the police but decided to take revenge.”

According to SP Tiwari, the accused learned to make bombs from the Internet. “…he first used the technique on Bhanwarlal’s tubewell but suffered minor injuries in the blast. Later, he used more gelatin rod to attack Lal Singh,” the accused told the police.

Police are also checking the role of the gang-rape victim in the crime.
