39-Yr-Old Man Repeatedly Rapes 7-Yr-Old Daughter In Pune, Arrested

Mumbai: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly raping his 7-year-old daughter multiple times, officers said.

According to the FIR lodged by the survivor’s mother, the man raped his daughter multiple times since March this year.

The survivor’s mother lodged a first information report (FIR) in this regard at a local police station in the early hours of Monday, they added.

Officials said the girl recently narrated the ordeal to her mother, following which the woman lodged a police complaint against her husband.

“The accused has been arrested. Further investigation is on,” said the investigating officer.

The man has been charged under sections 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
