4 Men Gangrape 55-Year-Old Woman in Forest Near Greater Noida, Manhunt Launched
Mumbai: Four men gang-raped a 55-year-old woman in a forest in the Jewar area of Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on Sunday. She had undergone surgery and she is recuperating in a hospital in Noida, Times Now reported.
The victim had gone to the fields to harvest fodder when she was spotted by a group of men. The main accused, identified as Mahendra, had taken his animals for grazing along with his friends when he saw her.
The police suspect that the main accused is a drug addict.
Mahendra, along with his three other accomplices, forced the 55-year-old woman. The perpetrators of the heinous crime fled from the spot when the victim was unconscious.

The woman later informed her family members and was later taken to the hospital where she was to undergo surgery. It was told that a lot of blood was bleeding from her private part.
Police said that his condition is stated to be critical but he is out of danger. He is being treated at the District Hospital in Noida.
Police said that three teams have been formed to nab the accused. A team of local police also visited the spot and collected evidence from the spot.
DCP (Noida) Vrinda Shukla said that the three teams are working to nab the accused person. “The victim knew an accused. Statements of some villagers have been recorded. The accused will soon fall into the trap.”
Such incidents are not new in the state. In connection with the inaction of the police in the rape case in Azamgarh, a woman consumed poisonous substances outside the police station on Saturday. Later, the station in charge (SHO) was suspended for negligence in the investigation of the case.
