As the situation remains fluid with the MLAs being “in touch” with the facts of the claims and counter-claims, six more MLAs are reported to have joined Shinde’s camp on Thursday. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray now has 16 MLAs left, while no decision has been taken on one MLA yet. Also Read: We Were Denied Entry To CM House For 2.5 yrs, Felt Insulted: Rebel MLAs To Uddhav

The show of strength under Shinde’s leadership comes amid claims by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut that 21 MLAs, who have sided with Shinde and are currently in Guwahati, approached Thackeray’s camp and asked him to return to Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the two MLAs — Kailash Patil and Nitin Deshmukh — who escaped the rebel camp and reached Mumbai, have claimed that several legislators intend to come back.
