5 Killed, 13 Injured As Jeep Falls Into Gorge In Rajasthan’s Udaipur

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has condoled the incident

Mumbai: As many as five persons were killed and 13 were injured as a jeep they were travelling in fell into a gorge on Udaipur-Jhadol road in Rajasthan’s Udaipur.

According to police, three children were also among those killed in the accident. “Five people died and 13 others were injured in the accident,” PTI quoted Udaipur Superintendent of Police Manoj Chowdhary as saying.

The accident happened near the Nandeshwar Mahadev temple in Nai police station area.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has condoled the incident.

“The death of 5 people is very sad in the accident on Udaipur-Jhadol road in Udaipur. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. May God give them strength in this difficult time and may the soul of the departed rest in peace. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured in the accident,” Gehlot tweeted.

Earlier on Tuesday, three people were killed and 20 were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a tractor in Rajasthan’s Alwar district.

According to police, 23 people were injured in a collision between a Rajasthan Roadways bus and a tractor laden with bricks near Kushalgarh village.

Three of them succumbed to injuries while 20 people are hospitalised, police said.

Of the three people who sustained serious injuries, two were sent to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, while one was taken to a private hospital by his relatives.
