512 Active Coronavirus Cases In India: Union health Ministry
Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India rose to 562.
It includes 512 active cases, while 40 infected people have already recovered or been discharged.
The Union Health Ministry said that the total deaths due to the disease are now 9 years old, as the second death in Delhi is COVID-19 negative. One patient has also survived due to infection.
The central government has taken several steps to prevent the rapid spread of the virus, including screening of 15,24,266 passengers at airports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockout across the country from midnight to combat the spread of coronavirus, saying “social disturbances” are the only option to combat the disease, which spreads rapidly.
