5,28,000 Samples Tested For COVID-19 Across The Country In Single Day: MoHFW

Mumbai: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Tuesday that on July 27, a total of 5,28,000 samples were tested for COVID-19 across the country.

This, according to MoHFW, is a result of the coordinated efforts of the Center and various states and union territories to increase the testing of infection in the country.

Earlier on July 26, 5,15,000 samples were tested for infection in the country.

Meanwhile, the case fatality rate (CFR) for COVID-19 has been steadily falling in India and currently stands at 2.28 per cent, while the total recovered cases have crossed nine lakhs in the country.

Based on an overall standard of care approach with an effective prevention strategy, invasive testing, and standardized clinical management protocols, the case fatality rate is significantly submerged.

The case fatality rate continues to fall and is currently 2.28 percent. MoHFW said on Monday, India has the lowest death rate in the world.

It further stated on Monday that “31,991 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, continuing the recovery streak of more than 30,000 per day for the fourth consecutive day. This has brought the total recovery to over nine lakhs and number 9 Is. 17,567. The recovery rate is 64 percent. ”
