58-Yr-Old Man Sexually Harasses 22-Yr-Old Daughter In B’luru; Held

Mumbai: A 58-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing his 22-year-old daughter in Bengaluru, reported The Times of India.

According to reports, the victim has approached the police to register a complaint in this regard. Giving more details about the case, she said that her father allegedly assaulted her as he did not allow her to enter his bedroom while she was changing her clothes.

Further investigation of the case revealed that the victim had lost her mother 5 years back and was living with her father. Narrating the whole ordeal, she alleged in her complaint that her father used to torture her mentally and sexually for a long time and even he touched her inappropriately. Sometimes when she was changing clothes he would hide in her room too. He said that things took an ugly turn on Monday when her father forced her to open her door to which she resisted and pushed him following which he fell on the ground. This did not go too well with the accused and he thrashed his daughter with a wooden stick, according to the report published in the Times of India.

Meanwhile, when the woman told her cousin about the incident, she ran for help but her father also beat her up. Meanwhile, the man threw his daughter out of the house, after which he decided to approach the police in this regard.

On learning of the incident, the police registered IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage modesty of woman), 354A (sexual assault), 354a (sexual harassment), 354c (voyeurism), and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means).

Meanwhile, the accused was produced in a court in connection with the crime and was remanded in judicial custody.
