6 People Including 4 Minors Gang-Rape Deaf & Mute Minor Girl In MP
Mumbai: Six people, including four minors, have been arrested in MP’s Shahdol for allegedly gang-raping a hearing and speech-impaired girl aged around 13 years, police said.
Shahdol zone Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Dinesh Chandra Sagar told PTI that the incident took place on September 25 and the accused were arrested after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint on Thursday. Also Read: UP Woman Raped, Later Dies During Abortion; 4 Including Doctor Held
According to the complaint, a person who knew the minor sexually assaulted her by luring her into a room in the village. Other accused present there raped her in turn, he said, adding that the victim and the accused lived in the same village. The girl went into shock after the incident, but narrated her ordeal to her mother through sign language a few days later, the official said.
“Police have nabbed all the accused, four of whom are minors,” he said.
The six accused have been booked under IPC sections 376 (DA) (gang rape of a woman below 16), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc), 34 (common intention) and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the ADG said.
