6-Years-Old Girl Raped By 26-Years-Old Man On Way To School In Uttar Pradesh

After returning home, the survivor narrated her harrowing ordeal before her parents

Mumbai: A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 26-year-old man while heading to school on Saturday in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh.

As per the police, the accused is identified as Shahbaz and belongs to Mirzapur village within the limits of Mandawali police station in the district.

He allegedly committed the heinous crime when the minor was on the way to school. He allegedly lured the 6-year-old to a dilapidated building and sexually assaulted her.

Bijnor SP (Superintendent of Police) Dharamveer Singh said, after returning home, the survivor narrated her harrowing ordeal before her parents.

The accused has been booked under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The SP further informed that the police arrested Shabaz on Sunday and sent the minor for medical examination, adding that the case is being probed.

The crime against women doesn’t seem to stop. Earlier, a woman living in Kerala’s Kazhakootam lodged a complaint against a 37-year-old ‘godman’, alleging that he sexually exploited her and extorted money and gold from her after clicking her nude pictures.

In yet another incident, at gunpoint, a 17-year-old girl was gang-raped at a village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The police registered a case against the trio, following a complaint by the girl’s father.
