Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was found raped and murdered in Bhiwandi. Well the accused has been arrested in just 10 hours.
The accused is identified as Bharatkumar Kori, aged 30, and used to visit victim father’s hotel daily. Kori lured the child for an ice-cream and took her to the isolated ground in Subash Nagar, where he raped her and when she began to resist, smashed her head with a large rock.
The child went missing near her home and was found dead on Sunday morning near a public toilet in Subash Nagar. Her body was sent to the Indira Gandhi memorial and later on for detailed investigation was sent to J.J hospital, Mumbai.
Police arrested the accused within 10 hours of crime from Varaldevi garden area, where he was found in an intoxicated state. For this fast action, police made six special units and tracked him down with the help of CCTV.
DCP Rajkumar Shinde said, “The victim body was found in public toilet which is 100 meters away from her home. We were informed by the locals and the girl’s family haven’t filed a complaint yet.”
The accused is been booked under sections of child abuse and murder and will be presented before Bhiwandi court on Monday.
