80% Quota In Private Jobs, ₹3,000 Allowance: Kejriwal Makes 7 Job Promises On Goa

He shared concerns for families dependent on tourism and mining in Goa

Mumbai: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections in Goa, Arvind Kejriwal has made seven job-related promises in Goa including ensuring jobs for Goans by ending corruption if AAP comes to power.

Kejriwal also attacked the opposition on corruption and bribery to get govt jobs in Goa.

“Youth told me that if one wants a govt job here, they need to know any minister, MLA-it’s not possible to get a govt job in Goa without bribe/recommendation. We’ll end this. Goa’s youth will have right over govt jobs here,” Kejriwal told to reporter here.

He promised the Native Goans youth that his party would provide jobs to at least one youth in every household and an allowance of Rs. 3000 every month until they get a job.

“We’ll make arrangements to provide jobs to one employed youth in each household of Goa. They’ll get Rs 3000/month as an unemployment allowance until they get a job. 80% of jobs will be reserved for Goan youth-we’ll bring law to reserve 80% private jobs too for Goan youth,” Arvind Kejriwal said.

He also shared his concerns for the families dependent on tourism and mining for their bread and butter. He assured them that they will be given an allowance of Rs. 5000/ month until their jobs are restored.

“Families dependent on tourism became unemployed due to COVID, they’ll be given Rs 5000/month until their employment is restored. Mining-dependent families are suffering due to closure of mines, they will also be given Rs 5000 per month until the mining resumes,” ANI tweeted

Later he talked about sharpening the skills of the youth by building a skilled University in Goa.

He added, “We will make a Skill University in Goa where children will be able to learn their preferred skill after class 12th so that they can become employable.”

Goa Assembly elections are slated for February 2022.  The AAP has also made visible inroads in Goa in the last few years.

Currently out of 40 Goa Assembly seats, BJP has 27 seats, Indian National Congress has 5 seats, NCP has 1, Goa Forward Party has 3 while Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party has 1 seat respectively. The BJP will be fighting under the leadership of its CM Pramod Sawant.
