’83’ To Have Its World Premiere At Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Fest

Kabir Singh directed ‘83 will be released in theatres on December 24, 2021

Mumbai: The long-delated film ‘83 starring Ranveer Singh as former captain Kapil Dev will have a world premiere on December 1 at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival.  Kabir Singh directed ‘83 will be released in theatres on December 24, 2021.

The film starring Deepika Padukone in a cameo as Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev will be the closing film of the festival. Director Kabir Khan, Kapil Dev, and Deepika Padukone will be attending the World Premiere of the film.

The film follows how the Indian cricket team, ‘a team that no one believed in’, went from being the underdogs to win their first-ever World Cup in 1983 by beating the reigning champions, West Indies. The Indian Team will be played by Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, and Pankaj Tripathi.

The trailer of the film was released today and has raised excitement around the film.  Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films present ‘83, a Kabir Khan Films Production. A Reliance Entertainment and PVR Pictures release slated on 24th December 2021 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam also in 3D. The film was originally scheduled to release in 2020 but was postponed due to Covid-19.
