A Last Recall To All The Bollywood Movies Which Entered A Successful 100 Crore Club In 2018

Pune : Another blissful year is coming to an end but not the adventures we were showered by amazing Bollywood films this year. From the return of Ranbir Kapoor’s fabulous acting to Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty’s venture together, here’s a recap of all the marvelous movies which entertained us and attained shining box office collections of 100 Crores.

Starting with the first month, the most controversial period drama Padmavat stepped in theaters on 25th January. After gaining a lot of obstacles with national attention, the Deepika Ranveer and Shahid Kapoor starrer encashed a whooping ₹302.15 crore in India while earning a worldwide of 585 crores.

Moving over to the next month, we witnessed another rom-com Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which released on 23rd February. Sharing the lead cast from previously released Pyaar ka Punchnama 1 and 2, movie secured a successful ₹108.95 Crores within national boundaries while ₹156.46 crores from overseas screenings.

Moving ahead in the third month of the year, two movies made their 100 crore mark, Ajay Devgan starrer Raid which released on 16th March which had an Indian box office collection of ₹103.07 Crores and ₹154.19 from international screenings, towards the end of the month, the next installment of Baaghi 2 entered theatres on 30th March earning ₹164.38 Crores in the country and ₹257 Crores world-wide.

Moving further, patriotic themed flick, Raazi was released on 11th May featuring Alia Bhatt in another iconic character in screen. Movie collected ₹123.84 crores from Indian screens while ₹194.26 crores from worldwide screens.

Veere Di Wedding released theatrically on 1 June 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics, with praise towards the chemistry and performances of the cast. Made on a budget of ₹42 crore the film earned over ₹138 crore (US$19 million) worldwide to emerge as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films featuring a female lead.

Next we had the iconic month of year which gave us 2 grand releases, first was Race 3 featuring Bollywood Dabangg Salman Khan on 15th June 2018 which couldn’t work out well enough as expected, still crossing the 100 crore mark with an approximate collection of ₹169 crores in India and ₹300 crores worldwide.

Another film one of the most awaited Biopic  Sanju featuring Ranbir Kapoor which earned lots of applause for Ranbir’s comeback and earned a Successful ₹342.57 Crores at national screens releasing on 29th June and a whooping ₹588.5 Crores at intentional screens.

Moving down 2 more movies released in August which added to the 100 crore club further, Stree which entered silver screens on 15th august securing ₹129.83 crores as Indian and ₹182 crores as world-wide collections.

Gold featuring Akshay Kumar released on 31st August which had a record of ₹109.58 crores at Indian box office collections while ₹158 crores from international collections.

After a monthly gap, another entry to the 100 crore club was made by Badhai Ho releasing on 18th October earning approximately ₹137.29 Crores at Indian cinemas and ₹220 Crores at international cinemas.

One of the most discussed film which featured the Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Amir Khan multi Starrer movie Thugs of Hindostan which was released on 8th November, earning an approximate of ₹145.55 Crores at Indian and ₹300 Crores at international screens.

We also witnessed the much heated sci-fi from the legendary Rajnikant, the most talked Akshay Kumar’s appearance, 2.0 aka Robot 2.0 which entered theaters on 29th November. The flick secluded fair enough ₹188.70 Crores (approx.) from Indian cinemas while whooping ₹722 Crores from international screenings while is still running.

At the end of the hear December, Zero from Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan released on 21st December is still running in the cinema and is quite close to the 100 crore mark while the most recent release of Ranveer Singh’s Simmba is yet in the chase.

Concluding in, the year gave us many such surprises from Bollywood with Zero and Simmba collections still counting in which might as well enter the 100 crore club very soon. Many more of such projects are in line for the coming 2019.
