A Mumbai Journalist Killed In His Antop Hill Home

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old man was murdered early morning at his home. The incident took place between 2 am and 3 am on Tuesday.

It is believed that some people entered the seventh floor of the man in the building of the Penta Galaxy and cut his throat while sleeping.

He was barely alive when cops came in and were taken to the Sion hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The person has been identified as 38-year-old journalist Anand Narayan. He used to work for a local newspaper in Mumbai.

According to the news agency PTI, the alleged murder happened around 2.30 in the morning when Anand Narayan was alone at Antip Hill’s Penta Galaxy Cooperative Housing Society at the house of his seventh floor. Neighbours became alarmed by hearing Narayan’s crying for help.

Then neighbours called the police. Narayan was found lying down with blood, after which he was taken to Lokmanya Tilak Nagar General Hospital, which is locally known as Sion Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Mumbai Police filed a murder case. An unknown police officer told PTI that he has recovered CCTV footage, in which three unknown people have been shown entering the building of Anand Narayan at around 2 am. The three are suspects in the murder. Antop Hill police station senior inspector Rajiv Whaval confirmed that a murder case had been registered.
