A Very Big Loss: Hema Malini Expresses Grief Over Rishi Kapoor’s Demise
Mumbai: Veteran actor Hema Malini expressed grief over the demise of senior actor Rishi Kapoor, who died at the age of 67 on Thursday.
Girl told ANI, “I am deeply saddened. I woke up and got the news and I was shocked as we felt that Rishi Kapoor is recovering. His departure is a big loss.”
Hema and Rishi Kapoor worked together in some hit films of the 70s and 80s, such as Ek Chaddar Meli Si, Naseeb.
Malini further said that the late actor was better in health and spirits when he last met him at a party and the news of his demise was shocking to him.
“I met her at a recent Diwali party that took place at Amit Ji’s house (Amitabh Bachchan). I was very happy to see her as she looked better and looked better. Suddenly getting news of her demise. I am shocked that after receiving this sudden news of his demise, how could this happen,” she said.
“Rishi Kapoor is very sad to leave us during Corona. Another star of our industry, Irrfan Khan left us yesterday and today Rishi ji has left me. I think our Bollywood is running black,” she said.
The actor had undergone 11 months of cancer treatment in New York. He had returned Indian during September 2019 Following which he had been admitted twice of his sickness.
He took his last breath on Thursday at H N Reliance Hospital, Mumbai shocking the cinema world with the demise of another gemstone.
