AAP, BSP To Skip Congress-Led Opposition Meeting On CAA, NRC

The AAP has not announced the reason behind its decision to leave the meeting

Mumbai: Another blow to the Indian National Congress, led by Interim President Sonia Gandhi, on Monday with the ongoing student-led opposition in the country, as well as the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the National Register of Citizens (NRC) -the common man The party (AAP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced that they would not attend the meeting.

Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had already announced that her Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not attend the meeting, which has been called by the Congress to discuss the current political situation in the country.

The AAP has not announced the reason behind its decision to leave the meeting.

Meanwhile, BSP chief Mayawati cited six of her party’s MLAs to join the ruling Congress last September as the opposition meeting ended

“In such a situation, the presence of the BSP in an opposition meeting led by Congress will drop the morale of the party workers in Rajasthan. Therefore, the BSP will not attend this meeting,” she tweeted in Hindi this morning.

Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi called the CAA a ‘discriminatory and divisive law’ aimed at dividing the ‘sinful’ people on religious grounds.
