AAP Leader Kapil Mishra Joins BJP

Mumbai: The AAP leader Kapil Mishra on Saturday joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. He was disqualified from the Delhi assembly under the anti-defection law.

Kapil Mishra was once considered as a close aide of the current Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has now campaigned from the side of BJP for the April-May Lok Sabha Election. The AAP women’s wing Chief Richa Pandey joined the BJP party along with Kapil Mishra.

Mishra joined BJP in the presence of the BJP Delhi unit president Manoj Tiwari and senior BJP leader Vijay Goel. Manoj Tiwari said, “I welcome Kapil Mishra and Richa Pandey into BJP and I hope they will serve Delhi and follow the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and philosophy of Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Syama Prasad Mookerji.”

The new BJP member Kapil Mishra had alleged that AAP received crores of rupees from shell companies run by people close to Kejriwal. He had also claimed that he had witnessed the exchange of 2 crore rupees between the health minister Satyendra Jain and Kejriwal. He said that he was the eye witness to the incident and had seen Satyendra Jain paying the money to Kejriwal. He also went on to call them as corrupt.
