Accused In Rape And Murder Of 6-Year-Old Hyderabad Girl Found Dead On Railway Tracks

Mumbai: The accused in rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Hyderabad was found dead on railway tracks at Station Ghanpur in Telangana, a week after the crime took place.

His body was identified based on the tattoo on his hands, police said

“It is true that the accused has died. I will have to ascertain more details with the concerned police personnel. I am told that the police were chasing him and not heeding the warning, he jumped in front of a train. The body was verified by the tattoos on the arm of the deceased. DGP of Telangana Police had tweeted and shared the information. Further details on this case are still awaited.

The Hyderabad police had intensified the search operation as accuse Raju was absconding. The police had constituted as many as nine special teams to arrest him. They had also announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakhs for any reliable information on the accused.

Police had also taken up vehicle checking on the state borders to stop him from fleeing to neighbouring states. Several teams comprising hundreds of police officers were engaged in search operations within the limits of three police Commissionerate, Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda.
