Action Must Be Taken Against BMC For Demolishing Kangana’s Office Without Proper Procedure: BJP MP Gopal Shetty
Mumbai: Following the ongoing feud between actress Kangana Ranaut and BMC, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gopal Shetty slammed the civic body for demolishing the Bollywood actress’ offices in the city and demanded action against the authorities.
Speaking to ANI, “The move to demolish the house taken by BMC with a sense of revenge from Kangana is scandalous. It is not right to do so to a woman who is patriotic. Also, if Kangana has said something wrong about Mumbai, she too should be interrogated. But, action should also be taken against demolition officials without following a proper procedure. They should be made to pay from their pockets for the damage.”
The BJP MP said, “I also appreciate the decision of the Bombay High Court to stay on demolition of Ranaut’s property. The court must pass an order for the re-construction of the actor’s office.”
The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the demolition drive carried out by BMC on Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai property.
A bench of the High Court also asked the BMC to file an answer to his plea in the case.
Ranaut, through her lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, moved the High Court against the demolition of the BMC terming “illegal changes” in his office.
