Action To Be Taken If Unnecessary Loudspeakers Are Installed: UP CM

Mumbai: UP CM Yogi Adityanath said action will be taken against the officials if complaints are received of “unnecessary” loudspeakers being installed and played loudly anywhere in the state.

Adityanath was addressing a review meeting with officials through video conferencing from his official residence on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the UP CM said, his government has successfully removed loudspeakers used in violation of norms at religious places in the state.

“After talks, unnecessary loudspeakers installed at different religious places have been removed,” Adityanath said, according to a statement issued.

The CM further said that “noise of loudspeakers should be within the premises where they are installed. We have set this example in good faith. Such situation should continue in future also.”

“If there is any complaint of unnecessary loudspeakers being installed and played loudly, the circle officer, deputy collector and other officials concerned will be held responsible and action will be taken against them,” the CM warned.

Addressing the meeting, Adityanath also gave strict instructions to eliminate illegal vehicle stands being operated at various places in the state within two days.

“It is the responsibility of the local administration to find a permanent solution to the problem of illegal taxi stands. Otherwise, accountability will be fixed,” the chief minister said.

Adityanath said the vehicle stands should be operated as per the rules, “There should be no parking on the roads.”

The Chief Minister also expressed grief over a large number of casualties in road accidents every year and said that extra precautions have to be taken to avoid them. He said that there is a need to make school students aware of traffic rules.

Referring to the peaceful celebration of various festivals like Eid, Ram Navami and Akshaya Tritiya, Adityanath said it sent a positive message.
