Jagesh’s friend and Gujarati theatre actor Sanjay Goradia told indianexpress.com that the actor passed away on Wednesday around 3 pm.

Goradia told Indian Express, “Jagesh was hospitalized on Friday last week, but he never told anyone about it because he did not want anyone to be stressed, especially because there is a lot of concern about COVID-19 these days. Jagesh has had health problems related to asthma and obesity for many years. He was doing workouts and dieting, but then the lockdown started, and he could not continue his work-out. So, his asthma started getting worse. Last week, when he got breathless, he was taken to CritiCare hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. His oxygen level was low. He was tested for COVID-19 because that’s the protocol. His test results came negative.”

“Yesterday suddenly, he had an asthma attack and was put on a ventilator. Post that, that was fine. Then suddenly, he died. The doctors tried their best but could not revive him. He was only 47 years old. “

Jagesh Mukati worked in television shows like ‘Amita Ka Amit’ and ‘Shree Ganesh.’ He was also featured in many Gujarati shows and plays.
