Actor Siddharth Issues Public Apology To Saina Nehwal, Calls His Tweet ‘Rude Joke’

Mumbai: Actor Siddharth issued a public apology to shuttler Saina Nehwal over his alleged lewd tweet. In the apology letter, he called his tweet a “rude joke”.

Siddharth had received a reply to his tweet about the Indian badminton star. Nehwal’s husband and badminton player Parupalli Kashyap had also slammed actor Siddharth for sharing an unpleasant tweet about his wife.

Actor Sidharth took a dig at badminton player Saina after the star shuttler posted a tweet to share his thoughts about the breach in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security in Punjab.

“Dear Saina, I want to apologise to you for my rude joke that i wrote as a response to a tweet of yours, a few days ago. I may disagree with you on many things but even my disappointment or anger when i read your tweet, cannot justify my tone and words. I know I have more grace in me than that,” Siddharth mentioned in his lengthy note.

Describing himself as a staunch feminist ally, Sidharth said he had no intention of harassing Saina or making a personal attack on the badminton star while replying to her tweet about the Indian Prime Minister.

The actor ended his letter by saying that Saina will always be his ‘champion’.
