Actress Meera Chopra Files Complaint Against Fans Of Jr NTR, After They Threatened Her With Rape, Acid Attack, Death

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meera Chopra filed a complaint against Jr NTR fans for threatening her with rape, acid attack, and death over a tweet.

The whole hate campaign against Meera started after she said that she liked Mahesh Babu more than Jr NTR in a #AskMeera session on the micro-blogging app Twitter.

Asking for Jr NTR to look into this matter, Meera said on twitter, “@tarak9999 I didn’t know that ill is called a bitch, whore and a pornstar, just bcoz I like @urstrulyMahesh more than you. And your fans will send my parent’s such wishes. Do u feel successful with such a fan following? And I hope u don’t ignore my tweet!!”

Attaching screenshots of some abusive tweets, Meera complained to Hyderabad Police and Cyber Cell saying,

“@hydcitypolice @CyberCrimeshyd I would like to report all these accounts. They are talking abt gang banging,  are abusive and death threatening. Unfortunately, they are all @tarak9999 fan clubs. @Twitter I would request you to look into it and suspend these accounts.”

Singer Chinmayi Sripada who also received similar threats came out in support of the actress saying, “One of the reasons I stopped saying I even “like movies” is because there are people who’ll use that as a means to abuse. As someone who gets rape threats every day, I suggest you file a case. Pick the abusive ones from this and file it with @NCWIndia.”

Later urging for a safe cyberspace Meera thanked all of her supporting fans and asked them to raise voice against women abuse.
