Actress Rhea Chakraborty Arrested By Narcotic Control Bureau
Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday arrested Rhea Chakraborty after questioning her in connection with drug-related allegations in her boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra said, “Rhea has been arrested and the process of informing the family is complete.”
Soon after her arrest, she was taken to a public hospital for medical tests and COVID-19 tests.
Rhea was recently interrogated by the CBI investigation team camping at the DRDO Guest House in Santa Cruz, a western suburb of Mumbai, and questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case.
NCB recently arrested its brothers Showik Chakraborty and his partner Samuel Miranda on charges of drug supply.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna, accusing her son of leading her to suicide and misusing his money.
Riya has denied the allegations on several occasions.
Rajput, 34, was found dead at his Bandra apartment here on June 14.
