Adesh Gupta Replaces Manoj Tiwari As BJP Delhi President

Mumbai: BJP leader Manoj Tiwari has been replaced from BJP’s Delhi President by Adesh Gupta, who has served as Mayor of North Delhi Municipal corporation.

Adesh Gupta is a low profile leader, old hand in the party and has a core support of Vaishya community in the capital city.

“I’m thankful to Modi ji,Nadda ji and other senior leaders of the party for appointing a humble party worker like me to the post of State Party President. It will be challenging to expand & consolidate the party base in view of #COVID19,” said Adesh Kumar Gupta.

Tiwari got replaced just after a day he was detained along with his party workers for violating lockdown norms on Monday. A protest was called at Rajghat against the CM Arvind Kejriwal government’s alleged failure to handle the COVID19 situation in Delhi.

Delhi BJP leaders and workers were not happy with Manoj Tiwari’s leadership, as BJP could only gain 8 seats in February elections.
