Adityanath Praised By PM For Measures To Tackle COVID In UP

Mumbai: According to a statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dealing with COVID-19 and dealing with the migrant crisis by the Uttar Pradesh government.

During his meeting with the Chief Ministers during the video conference, the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of Adityanath and his team to take “proactive steps” in reducing coronavirus fatalities.

The statement said that Modi pointed out that the most number of tests in Uttar Pradesh – 1.50 lakhs per day and 90 lakh people have been tested so far, the highest among all states in the country.

Modi said that higher tests conducted by the state, according to the statement, managed to maintain coronavirus deaths “to a minimum”.

The Prime Minister applauded Adityanath for “skillful handling” of the migrant crisis, saying that a large state like Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest population, also had a high number of migrants.

In his address, Adityanath made him aware of the coronavirus situation in the state.

He said that out of about 1.50 lakh tests per day, around 50,000 trials are by RT-PCR method with a positivity rate of four percent and an overall recovery rate of 82 percent.
