After 17 Months Of Escaping, Nirav Modi Detained In London

Mumbai: The flighted economic escaper Nirav Modi who is being deceived to rob Rs 13,700 crores from banks of India has been detained in London.

Two days before, the announcement to arrest Nirav Modi was issued.

‘The Diamond merchant Nirav Modi will be produced in the front of Court’, the enforcement directorate said which has been solving the case.

Just a week before, Nirav roaming on the street was caught by British daily reports. UK authorities then took a look of India’s deportation of 2018 on absconder Nirav Modi who robbed crores of Indian banks. They then instigated a legal proceeding in front of the court.

Spokesperson of MEA Ravish Kumar had said, “We have requested the UK govt of extradition of Nirav Modi. It means that we were aware he is in the UK, otherwise, we wouldn’t have made a request for extradition. Just because he has been spotted doesn’t mean he can be immediately brought back to India. We have made a request. It is for the UK government now to consider our request and respond to CBI and ED demand for extradition’.

The Crime Branch Investigation Department and are searching Mehul Choksi and others whoever involved in laundering and corrupting crores from Indian banks. A year before, Nirav’s House pulled out.

On the basis of a complaint registered by a PNB officer, Avneesh Nepalia, CBI registered an FIR against Nirav Modi, his wife Ami Modi, uncle (and Gitanjali Gems Ltd’s MD) Mehul Choksi, Gokulnath Shetty who is now a retired PNB deputy manager on 31st January.

He ostensive that PNB had been cheated buy rupees 280 crores. Later PNB instigated an investigation as they locate unaccredited transactions of 11,700 crores while performing daily regulatory.
