This comes a day after Pakistan approved to India’s request to allow PM Modi‘s aircraft to fly over its airspace.

“The Indian government explored two options for carrying Bishkek to VVIP aircraft. Now it has been decided that the VVIP aircraft will fly through Oman, Iran and Central Asian countries along the route of Bishkek, “read a statement.

Earlier, India had requested Pakistan to allow Prime Minister Modi’s aircraft to fly in the airspace for Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the SCO Summit on 13-14 June.

The Pakistani official had confirmed that the Imran Khan government had “approved the request of the Indian government in principle in order to fly Prime Minister Modi’s plane from Pakistani airspace to Bishkek”.

Pakistan closed its air sector on 26 February after the strike of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on the terrorist camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Balakot. Since then, it has opened only two routes, both of which pass through South Pakistan from a total of 11.
