Ahead Of Trust Vote, Sanjay Raut Claims Support Of 170 MLAs

Mumbai: Maha Vikas Aghadi govt led by Shiv Sainik Uddhav Thackeray will face a trust vote in Maharashtra Assembly today.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi includes the three-party alliance of NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena.

Ahead of the trust vote, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut expressed confidence in the alliance winning the floor test. Taking to Twitter, he claimed that the Maha Vikash Aghadi had the support of over 170 MLAs.

“Today is the day to prove majority… 170 +++++…,” he tweeted.

Leaders of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP will discuss floor test and speaker election at 9.30 am.

At 2 pm today, a vote of confidence will be held after the formal commencement of six, numbering six ministers in the Assembly.

A permanent Speaker will be elected on Sunday and the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) will also be announced.

As per the Assembly results, Shiv Sena has 56 MLAs, NCP has 54 and Congress has 44 in the 288-member state assembly.
