AIIMS Demands Strict Law To Protect Doctor’s

Mumbai: After Mamata Banerjee accepted live coverage of their meetings with striking doctors, AIIMS came up with demand that a tough central law against anyone who engages in violence with medical practitioners.

Resident Doctors Association (RDA) general secretary Dr. Rajeev Ranjan said, “We want a tough central law, which shakes the spine of a person who thinks of attacking a doctor.”

He said, “We have a question for the entire country including lawmakers, patients and the common people – why are you not raising your voice against Chief Minister, who are threatening the doctors in the state?”

In the decision to strike AIIMS doctors’ work, it was alleged that a junior resident doctor in the emergency department of Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Center (JPNATC) was abducted by relatives of a patient around 1:30 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear a PIL filed by Alok Srivastava on Tuesday, in which the doctors will be provided with protection and protection. Shrivastav has further demanded strict action against those who allegedly beat up a junior doctor in Kolkata’s NRS hospital.
