Air India To Start First-Ever Non-Stop Flight From Hyderabad To London

Mumbai: Air India on Thursday is set to commence its first-ever non-stop flight from Hyderabad to London. The first flight will arrive from London to Hyderabad on Thursday and will depart from Hyderabad to London on Friday.

According to an Air India release, the flight will operate twice a week with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 256 seats, which includes 18 in business class and 238 in economy class configuration.

The flight from Hyderabad to London will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. On Monday, Flight AI 147 will depart from Hyderabad at 0130 hrs and reach London at 0730 hrs on the same day.

On Friday, flight AI 147 will depart Hyderabad at 0530 hrs and reach London at 1130 hrs (all local time/LT) the same day. Return flight AI 148 will operate on Sundays and Thursdays departing from London at 0945 hours (LT) to arrive in Hyderabad at 2335 hours (LT) the same day.

The total flight time on this route will be 10 hours 30 minutes from Hyderabad to London and 9 hours 20 minutes from London to Hyderabad, depending on wind speed and other conditions that day. Currently, Air India operates non-stop flights to London from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Amritsar, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Goa.

Air India has been playing a major role in the Government’s Vande Bharat Mission and Air Transport Bubble Arrangement to fly people left stranded due to the air route restrictions back home. So far, Air India has flown over 40 lakh people and the mission is still on.
